Quartersawn white oak, walnut, leather, enameled copper.
In 2012 I met an artist named Felicia Parsons and fell in love with her enameled copper tiles, which she often creates in diptychs or triptychs. I approached her about collaborating on a piece and she immediately agreed. This chest is in the tradition of Greene and Greene, with the surprising addition of the tiles.
This piece won Best in Show at the 2018 Scholars and Fellows Exhibition at the Messler Gallery in Rockport, Maine.
